Taita Hills (Salt Lick)
Day 1:
Pickup from the hotel between 5:00-5:30 AM on the Diani coast and between 6:00-6:30 AM on the Mombasa coast, followed by a direct transfer to Taita Hills. A 30-minute break for rest and restroom facilities along the way.
Planned arrival at the Park between 10:30 AM and 11:00 AM, check-in, and departure for the first safari, followed by lunch at 12:30 PM in Taita.
After lunch, we head to the Salt Lick Lodge, a famous stilted hotel, for relaxation until 4:00 PM and leisure by the watering hole.
At Salt Lick Lodge, at 3:30 PM, coffee, tea, and cookies are served on the viewing terrace before the afternoon safari, which starts at 4:00 PM.
Safari in Taita Hills Park with the opportunity to observe various wild animals.
Return to the hotel at 6:30 PM. Dinner from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM, relaxation, and overnight stay.
Possibility of organizing a night safari from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM.
Day 2:
Early morning safari in the Park at 6:00 AM, observing the sunrise and searching for wild animals.
Return for breakfast at 8:00 AM. At 9:15 AM, a leisurely departure from the Park towards Mombasa, with a stop to visit a Maasai village.
Planned return to the hotel by the Ocean around 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM.
The cost of the trip includes:
- Driver, fuel,
- Toyota Land Cruiser with an open roof,
- Unlimited drinking water per person per day in the vehicle during safaris,
- Entrance ticket to Taita Hills,
- Accommodation and full board at Salt Lick Hotel (lunch, dinner, breakfast),
- Visit to a Maasai village,
- Additionally, drinks ordered at the lodge during meals (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) are extra charges.
