Tsavo East (Lion Hill Lodge)
Day 1: Tsavo East
Pickup from the hotel on the Diani coast between 5:30 AM and 6:00 AM, or from the Mombasa coast between 6:30 AM and 7:00 AM, followed by a direct transfer to Tsavo.
En route, a 30-minute break for rest and restroom facilities.
Arrival at Tsavo East around 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM, the first safari continues until 12:30 PM, then descent to the hotel for check-in and lunch at 1:00 PM.
Relaxation at Lion Hill Lodge.
At 4:00 PM, we begin the afternoon safari.
Tsavo East is famous for its “Red Elephants” that dust themselves with iron-rich red soil.
The park is one of the largest in Kenya and offers observations of numerous wild animals as well as a variety of birds.
Return to the hotel at 6:30 PM, dinner served from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Overnight stay.
Day 2: Tsavo East – Coast
Early breakfast and check-out from the hotel at 6:30 AM.
Morning safari towards the exit gate, “Bachuma Gate,” which we plan to leave at 9:30 AM.
Then, a visit to a Maasai village (approximately 30-45 minutes).
Planned arrival on the Mombasa coast around 1:00 PM, for the Diani coast, there is a scheduled ferry departure, so around 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM.
End of Safari.
The cost of the trip includes:
- Open-roofed 4×4 Toyota Land Cruiser,
- Driver, fuel,
- Entrance ticket to Tsavo Park,
- Accommodation and full board (lunch, dinner, and breakfast the next day),
- Unlimited drinking water in the vehicle during safaris,
- Visit to a Maasai village,
- Additionally, drinks ordered at the lodge during meals are extra charges.
